python-simplejson software package provides simple, fast, extensible JSON encoder/decoder for Python, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-simplejson
python-simplejson is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-simplejson package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-simplejson *
You will get with python-simplejson package name, version, architecture and description in a table
